The Shadowed Hand

The Shadowed Hand is a secret organization that secretly influence world events to the favor of everyone. The Shadowed Hand's symbol is that of a black hand. Most believe that this organization is just a halfling tale, a sort of boogieman organization. Those who do believe think that they are more of a den of theives, that if found will slit the throats of those who discover thier hideouts, yet will kill anyone for the right price.

It is true that they do keep assasins in case they are needed to take out someone who threatens the balance of the world. But death is not thier true goal, neither is power. The Shadow Hand seeks to maintain the balance by altering events that will aid in a desired outcome. They do this by divining the future with wizards that are among the few members who try to see events that could possibly plunge the world into chaos and how to stop them.

The Shadow Hand is not affiliated with any god, nor any country or government, though they have had hands in many politicians rising to power, for no other reason than that they may need to use a favor from them someday.

The only members that have influence in the organization is the counsel of Nine, each of which are different allignments, as well as races. The Neutral member is the oldest member of the ancient order, for she is a Very Old Amythyst Dragon (subject to change which gem dragon) who was there at the begining of the counsel of nine.

The Shadow Hand will not take any action unless all nine members are in agreement of what is in the best interest of all.
