Code of Conduct

1. RESPECT! You want it, give it!
2. Time. We all know time is critical for everyone. Days and times of game
sessions will vary this is unavoidable, what is avoidable is last
minute time changes. Saying that every job gives a work
schedule at least a week in advance so please notify some one
of a change in the time you are available as soon as possible. If
you need someone to play your character ask. All Core
Members are well versed in playing multiple Characters
at once, and other members are encouraged to learn how to
do this if they don't already.
3.Problem Solving. If a problem arises between Members of the gaming
group (weather it be Group A, B, or C) all members of The
Gentlemen Bastards agree to sit down and try to resolve it
peacefully. If it can not be then the Core have the right to step
in and resolve it. Above all Keep it in the Group!!
4. a. G.B. Rankings. There are 3 Stages to the Gentlemen Bastards Group.
A. The Gaming Group - You game with everyone else and give
input, but are not involved with the final decision making
process.
B. Gentlemen Bastard - You game with everyone, give input and help
with the Final decision making process.
C. The Gentlemen Bastards Core - The Core are the Group of like
minded individuals who Founded the Gentlemen Bastards.
They are: Scott, Frodo, Nate, Wilson, and Charles. Of which
3 are still active local members, 1 has left us for a while.
and 1 is active but lives out of the area, But all are free to come
and go as they chose with out losing their status. The Core
Hold the right to over rule the majority vote if they feel it
(is/would be) in the best interest of the whole Group.
4. b. Progression. To get into Group A you need to be invited. To get into
Group B you need to be voted in by Group C with input by
Group B. Sorry Group C is closed at this time.


Please post here if/that you understand this or if you feel some changes are in order. A more Formal adaptation of this will be printed and signed by the Gentlemen Bastards Core, with a not so formal one printed for all members to sign. The above is Subject to change before it is fully endorsed by the GBC.

Several things.

1. Wrong section to post this.
2. This is not the complete version, it is a starter to work on and must be revised with everybodies input, that does include Race. I said it was good for starters but there is much that I myself would change.
3. I said that this was to be further discussed on Saturday.

I am going to leave this up just so that everybody can see this. I do have problems with some of the steps and that is why I want to talk about this on Saturday. On another note, this code of conduct was made in direct responses to issues within the gaming group so in my opinion is tainted.

What did you think that posting this before we met to deal with the issues would do? All this is going to accomplish is putting fuel on the fire and further the disintigration of the gaming group that me and frodo are trying to prevent.

First off Obviously you did not read it carefully I but on there that it was subject to change before it was fully endorsed.
Second nothing that has been wrote in the Code Targets any one person, and it was agreed upon as something needed when we agreed to become a chapter of the Knights Templar's.
Third If you have a problem with me posting it here to get feed back so it can be edited before it is Endorsed then delete the whole thread, or ask me to.
Fourth If I worded something wrong in the Post then come to me It is only 18 steps to get up to my floor from yours.

If there are any other issues feel free to belittle me just as others like to do on here or be a big enough person to come talk to me in person This goes for anyone!!!!!!!

My friends, I hope I may hope to calm these stormy waters. As a nuetral party in the events which are currently taking place, I hope my following statements may be taken as unbiased. First and foremost I believe the point which Scott was trying to stress is at this point in the events which happened, posting this current Code of Conduct on the site (although I know it has not yet been fully endorsed or adopted, merely put up for the sole pupose of discussion and feedback) is akin to pouring the proverbial salt into a wound. Someone(s) could very well have looked at this and taken offense to the Code because it has no context in which to be taken. These forums and cell text make it very easy to communicate, but with the events which had taken place I do believe a live, in-person forum would have been much more approriate as you could have fully conveyed the context of which you were attempting to communicate. Essentally (to reference an old episode of the Twilight Zone) you just told the humans you wanted to "Serve" them. As I am sure you are all aware, that can be taken in two comply different contexts.
All of us have to remember that essentilly we all come together in fellowship for the love of gaming. As part of the nature of gaming, especially RPG's, close knit groups are born just as close (if not closer in some cases) as families. And as we all know sometimes families have disagreements. They can either be ripped apart, or brought closer through these dilemas. From what I have been hearing of late the "family" does not sound like it is good shape. I wish I was closer so I could try to mediate some of the disagrements I have been hearing of of late, but unfortunaly, being 100 miles away and working the hours I work to keep my family sustained; it is not quite fesable at this time.
The one thing I would like to stress, and for you all to keep in mind is as follows: We are a family, one big wacky, weird, and freaky family. In a family, no one person will get their way 100% of the time. Everyone has to make comprimises and sacrifices at times to keep everyone happy and make sure everyone has a good time. (For example, when I came down for my vacation to game things were very much in disarry and I do not think I ,and we all, had as good a time as could been had. I could have complained, threw a fit, or any number of other things to add to chaos; but I bit my tounge and continued. I missed you guys and was happy to have the very little time that I had with you all, and I thought nothing or nobody would be served by adding to the disarray.) But furthermore we are a family because we all share our love of gaming. And the quintessential thing to remember is that it is all just a game. We all play the games we do to have fun, and if nobody is having fun my friends, then what are we going to do to fix it?
